The 11th Session with the Lord in His Court

About Court Session with the Lord:

'Court Session with the Lord' is the weekly non-denominational intercessory program initiative of The Lord's Court International (LCI), a non-denominational intercessory ministry called by God to return His people to their knees in personal prayers and intercession for a one-on-one communion with God

LCI is an unusual ministry with an unusual mandate as contained in Joel 2:14-17 (CEV):  "I am the Lord your God.  Perhaps I will change my mind and treat you with mercy.  Then, you will be blessed with enough grain and wine for offering sacrifices to me.

Sound the trumpet in Zion!  Call the people together.  Show your sorrow by going without food.  Make sure that everyone is fit to worship me.  Bring adults, children, babies, and even bring newlyweds from their festivities.

Tell my servants, the priests, to cry inside the temple and to offer this prayer near the altar: "Save your people, Lord God!  Don't let foreign nations make jokes about us.  Don't let them laugh and ask, 'Where is your God?'"

A global ministry with members from all the continents of the world with the specific instruction from God to bring all the challenges of God's people that have led held them bound before Him in His court for adjudication and intervention, it is founded by Pastor Ray Festus Symperr, an intercessor by calling cum a television producer, publisher and information technologist by training.

Dress Code:

Unlike the conventional prayer vigils which people attend dressed in rags and untidy clothes, 'Court Session with the Lord' is not just one of those vigils, but purely a spiritual court session where the Lord is the Judge (Isaiah 33:22).  And unlike the regular court session, it is a session where you are granted victory even before the adjudication is done by the Lord, the Almighty Judge because you are His own.

Hence, it is required that you dress responsibly as an indication of your victory at the court before the adjudication is done.

Note: You may observe this event with your spouse (If married) and/or household.

SPECIAL SESSION'S MESSAGE
By:  Pastor R. F. Symperr

TITLE:  THE GOD THAT TERRIFIES
Study Texts:  1 Samuel 17:1 - end.

Welcome to 2011, your year of honour, all-round wellness and greater heights.  Without falling casualty of the devil's devices and traps, we were able to cross the narrow bridge connecting 2010 to 2011 by His grace.  Congratulations!

This message is a continuation of that of 'The 10th Session with the Lord in His Court' held last week.  I did a study of the dictionary meaning of the word "Terrify".  According to Advanced Learners Dictionary, it means to intimidate and to frighten.

1 Samuel 17:8-11 (CEV) states: "Goliath went out and shouted to the army of Israel: 'Why are you lining up for battle? I am the best soldier in our army, and all of you are in Saul's army.  Choose your best soldier to come out and fight me!  If he can kill me, our people will be your slaves.  But if I kill him, your people will be our slaves.  Here and now I challenge Israel's whole army!  Choose someone to fight me!  Saul and his men heard what Goliath said, but they were so frightened of Goliath that they couldn't do a thing.'"

From the foregoing scriptures, we saw how Goliath was intimidating the Israel's army; and how Isael's army was frightening each time they saw Goliath's intimidating size and weaponry (1 Samuel 17:4-7).

Such are the Goliaths of your life in 2011.  Their sizes and weaponry might appear to be so huge and intimidating but they will be terrified when you bring them to face the Judge in His court (Isaiah 44:11b).  The young boy, David who told King Saul in 1 Samuel 17:34 (CEV), "Your Majesty, I take care of my father's sheep.  And when one of them is dragged off by a lion or a bear, I go after it and beat the wild animal until it lets the sheep go.  If the wild animal turns and attacks me, I grab it by the throat and kill it.

Sir, I have killed lions and bear that way and I can kill this worthless Philistine.  He shouldn't have made fun of the army of the living God!  The Lord has rescued me from the claws of lions and bears, and he will keep me safe from the hands of this Philistine."  Like David, you must recall the victories the Lord granted you in the past years and with that attitude, you will position every Goliath and enemy of your life for 2011 to be terrified as they come face to face with the Lord, the Almighty Judge, in His court.  And not only will the Goliaths and enemies of your life for 2011 be terrified, the Lord will empower you, like David, to eliminate them so as to make you mega fit to worship Him and grab all the goodies of 2011 stress-free.  David answered: "You've come out to fight me with a sword and a spear and a dagger.  But I've come out to fight you in the name of the Lord All-Powerful.  He is the God of Israel's army, and you have insulted him too!  Today the Lord will help me defeat you.  I'll bring you down and cut off your head, and I'll feed the bodies of the other Philistine soldiers to the birds and wild animals.  Then the whole world will know that Israel has a real God.  Everybody here will see that the Lord doesn't need swords or spears to save His people.  The Lord always wins His battles, and He will help us defeat you." - 1 Samuel 17:45-47 (CEV).

You must have been depending on your own physical strength, the strength of others or physical weapons to fight the Goliaths of your life in the past, but in this year, 2011, you must learn to rely on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and Him only for your victories to be guaranteed in all ramifications (Jeremiah 17:5-8).

For those Goliaths and enemies of your life to be terrified when they come face to face with God, the Almighty Judge, in His court, you must have a father-son relationship with God.  The young boy, David was able to defeat Goliath of Gad because he belonged to the tribe of God's people, Israel.  If before now there is no such relationship between God and you, you shall be led to do so at the appropriate time in the course of this message.  Note that the establishment of such relationship has nothing to do with religion, wealth, church position or nobility.  It is all about you being known by God, the Father and vice-versa thereby having your name written in the Book of Life in His custody.

In conclusion, as outlined in the special session's message of 'The 10th Session with the Lord in His Court' held last week, for God to terrify every Goliath or enemy of your life in 2011 as they come face to face with Him in His court, you must be a good companion of God's word (Joshua 1:8); you must be one that gives towards Kingdom advance on earth; you must be one that loves God and loves others as yourself; you must be one that flees every appearance of sin; among others.

Now, if you wish to establish a father-son relationship with God so as for the Goliaths or enemies of your life in 2011 to be terrified when they face the Almighty Judge in His court at the sitting of 'The 11th Session with Lord in His Court', pray the following prayer whole-heartedly before proceeding to the following Order of Service for this session:

"Lord Jesus, I come before you as a wretched sinner.  I believe with all my heart that you came to rescue me from the power of sin and hell by dying for me on the Cross of Calvary.  And that you were buried and on the third day, you rose for my justification.  Please, forgive me all my sins and take me as your son as I accept you as my Saviour and Lord from today on.
Thank you for accepting me into your Kingdom in Jesus name, Amen."
